I was hoping that this would improve the taste of my coffee since my old filter was so bad, but didn't do that. I bought this to replace mine which had been in the machine for over 6 months. I think it works, but there was only a slight difference in the taste, if any at all. Nevertheless, the goal of this product is to filter water, not necessarily improve taste. Since it does that, it still gets a 5-star.
This is a great product, water tastes better than most bottled water and I can't help but smile everytime I walk past a big display of "genuine spring water" Saving money and feeling good about helping the evironment, can't beat that. Wish we would have discovered years ago. Have had for 2 years now and have had no issues at all with filters or pitcher.
This filter will make perfect coffee from imperfect water. As we live in the country 25 miles south of Dallas, we have always had very poor tasting water. Adding this filter, plus filtered frig water makes for a perfect cup of coffee.
Since I cannot find this product in stores anymore, I appreciate being able to order the water filters online.
The combiation of the Brita carafe and filters makes for a far more economical and environmentally-friendly alternative to bottled water for drinking as well as for use in appliances like coffee makers.
